Back from a week at Chateau de la Napoule in southern France,  painting plein air with a group from Maine College of Art.  Multiple layers of experience and joy in the beauty of this area, the people of Provence, and the connections made with art and the people who participated.

My goal was to get some oil studies and photos from which to work once I returned home.... studies of large shapes and color pushing towards the abstract.  That goal was realized and accompanied by an experience of sight and emotion hard to express in words.
